Concots – Travel time: 30 min
Located on an ancient natural shell, Concots developed around a medieval castrum built in the 13th century by the Knights of Cardaillac. Its square feudal tower, isolated from the 15th-century seigneurial residence, formed the heart of the fort protecting the village. After the Hundred Years’ War, the village was rebuilt and became a prosperous market town, known for its vineyards, truffles, and crafts.
Saint John the Baptist Church (1879)
Built in the heart of the village, the Church of Saint John the Baptist stands out for its painted ceiling and original Stations of the Cross. Its 19th-century stained glass windows, designed by G.-P. Dagrant, a renowned master glassmaker from Bordeaux, illuminate the choir and nave with vibrant colors, symbols of the faith and artistic expertise of the period.
Lunch at L’Esprit de Causse (Concots) or at Auberge Lou Bourdié (Bach)
Lunch at L’Esprit de Causse (Concots)
Located in the heart of the village of Concots, L’Esprit du Causse is housed in an old building that was converted into an inn in the 19th century.
Reopened in 2016, it now combines charming materials with inventive and generous cuisine inspired by local producers. In an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed, dinner can easily be extended: two guest rooms and a spa area invite you to prolong the tranquility of the place.
